December 2022: This Christmas the Piece by Piece foundation wants to spoil the 15 disabled children from Little Angels Home with Christmas boxes!

Mental Health Awareness 2022

October 2022: This year for World Mental Health month we decided to spoil 18 beautiful children on the autism spectrum from Dawn Early Intervention Centre with big boxes filled to the brim with items which were calming, sensory & educational! We had such a lovely time opening the boxes with them and exploring each item!

Thank you SO MUCH to alllll the wonderful sponsors who made this all possible! There was a total of 54 sponsors for this initiative!

We also received financial donations from amazing businesses all over South Africa. We raised R6300 with this initiative. These funds go towards funding the special education of children with special needs.

Mandela Day 2022

July 2022: For this Mandela Day the Piece by Piece foundation spoiled the 20 children at the Dreamtree school for children with autism with boxes filled with sensory toys and delights.

We also received financial donations from amazing businesses all over South Africa. We raised R7450 with this initiative. These funds go towards funding the special education of children with special needs.

Christmas 2021

December 2021: This December we spoilt the farm children at Somerbosch! We donated these boxes to add to Life Churchā€™s initiative for a Christmas celebration for the kiddies!

The children were so excited to fetch their boxes, some even struggling to carry them due to the weight!

Thank you to each and every sponsor for making this possible and filling each box full of toys and goodies to delight each child!

Tuberous Sclerosis Beach Walk

December 2021: This was our second beach walk for little loving Elijah who has Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. Despite the wind, we were a nice large group and the raffle was great fun!

Special Needs Boxes

November 2021: We had the pleasure of visiting the lovely Special needs kiddies at Milkwood living and learning Academy to give them these beautiful containers filled with sensory toys to delight the senses.

Mental Health Awareness 2021

October 2021: We visited the Somerset West Family Shelter and handed out calming boxes filled to the brim for the 45 children there who have all experienced trauma. These boxes had a focus on calming these children when they are overwhelmed.

We had a lovely day with the kiddies aged 1-16. The kids loved every single item and devoured their yummy cupcakes!

We are proud to announce we raised 50+K with this initiative and we were empowered to help various children gain access to special needs education! A special thank you to Virtual Resources for donating R20 000 through their Backabuddy campaign for us.

Mandela day 2021

July 2021: This Mandela day, the Piece by Piece foundation handed out 20 sensory boxes to the boys from ACVV Bright Lights! We also spent our 67 minutes (plus!) with them, teaching them all about their boxes, the importance of stimulating our different senses and especially the interoceptive sense (where we practiced breathing exercises and mindfulness activities). A special thank you to all our sponsors!

July 2021: We were live on Radio Helderberg 93.6fm! We got the opportunity to share a bit about the Piece by Piece Foundation and our Mandela day project! Canā€™t wait till next time!

Sensory Processing Workshop

July 2021: Linda Herbert, the chairperson of the Piece by Piece Foundation, held a Sensory Processing Workshop on Zoom in order to raise funds for our Mandela day sensory boxes!

Youth Day 2021

June 2021: This youth day, we wanted everyone to remember the struggle of the Soweto uprising and also the strides we as country have made thus far (and still have to make), but then to also reflect on the educational struggles of families with children with developmental delaysā€¦ Thanks all for your June 16th R16 donations!

Elijahā€™s Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Beach Walk!

May 2021: We had such a fun beach walk on Strand Beach to raise funds for little Elijah who has Tuberous Sclerosis Complex!

Thank you soooo much to everyone that came and braved the weather! And how lucky were we to only get just a few drops and drizzles on us during the walk! We were able to walk for the full hour!

Also thank you sooo much to everyone who bought raffle tickets to help raise funds for little Elijah! We raised just under R6000!

Thanks again everyone! What a wonderful feeling it is to help and how beautiful it is to see people get together and stand together as a community to help šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™
